This process transforms old stone access tracks which are rutted with pot holes into a smooth level roadway. All the existing hardcore material, lumps of brick, concrete, tarmac and stone are broken up and crushed to provide an ideal hardcore material.

To help prevent pooling of rainwater and pot holes, the graded hardcore is profiled to create falls so that the rainwater is shed to the side of the track, rather than pooling in the middle.

Finally, once the track surface has been graded, a bank of hydraulically powered vibrating compaction plates consolidate the roadway, which makes it suitable for heavy plant traffic.
